Mechanical oil press machine is usually suitable for all kinds of raw material, such as peanut/groundnut, soybean, sunflower seed, corn germ, palm kernel, copra, mustard, cottonseed, castor, sesame, canola/rapeseed, flax seed, etc. Single machine capacity ranges from 10-200TPD.
There are 2 diffrent method of oil production, cold pressed and hot pressed end up becoming completely different finished products.
In cold pressing, oil is extracted directly at room temperature, no need frying. The acid value would be relatively low, so oil products are obtained after precipitation and filtration. No need for any refinement. Cold pressing the oil yield is lower and usually with higher sales price. Oil color is light. (higher oil residue rate, extracting 2-3 times)
Hot pressing involves extracting oil at high temperatures, that is to roast seeds before oil extracting. In this way the acid value rises significantly, it loses most of its natural quality. Hot pressed oils are refined to make them fit for consumption. With high oil yield and the oil color would be darker. (Extracting once)
